Integrating into social projects is an enriching experience that connects teams, brings company values to life, and creates lasting value. When employees contribute their individual strengths, an inspiring collaboration emerges—one where everyone learns from each other. Companies not only gain engaged and motivated teams but also actively contribute to a better society.

The opportunities to support social projects through personal commitment and partnerships hold immense potential. They foster team cohesion, strengthen corporate culture, and create meaningful experiences. Especially today, as purpose becomes increasingly important, such initiatives offer a valuable opportunity—for businesses, employees, and the community. A true win-win for everyone!

IMPACT

CAMBODIA '25

A particularly powerful example of the impact of social projects was my experience in Cambodia in 2025. As part of the "Don’t Be Afraid" project, we coached 150 young people in eight masterclasses over the course of three days. From "How to Save Money" to "The First Interview" and "Dare to Be You" we discussed topics that truly matter to young adults. They are Cambodia’s future and the leaders of tomorrow.

What started as an encounter with shy teenagers quickly grew into a deep and trusting connection that continues to this day. Their ambition, eagerness to learn, and desire to share their knowledge with their families and communities deeply moved us. These relationships remain strong, and further projects are already in the works.

Our intercultural team, representing thirteen countries, was united by shared values while embracing different personalities and backgrounds. Not only did we have the opportunity to share our knowledge, but we also learned from these incredible young people – and as a team, we grew together.

This project showed us how enriching and impactful personal involvement in social initiatives can be. It was not only a valuable experience for the young participants but also for us as a team – a true win-win that continues to connect us across borders.

During our journey through Haworth’s various charity projects, we observed that they are clearly aligned with the company’s core values. However, deeper integration into the organization has not yet taken place.

Together, we explored ways to further develop these initiatives beyond financial support. From creating apprenticeships to foster loyal employees to repurposing fabric remnants for sewing projects – the possibilities are diverse. We also discussed potential sales approaches to establish long-term and sustainable synergies between social engagement and business benefits.

AGILE IN ACTION: Transformation Journey

This moment captures participants engaged in the Ball Point Game, a dynamic exercise that kickstarted an agile transformation in a financial services environment. Through this interactive workshop, the team physically experienced how iterative thinking, self-organization, and continuous improvement translate to tangible results. The colored balls represent work items flowing through a collaborative system, demonstrating how teams can adapt and optimize their processes. This hands-on approach helped shift mindsets toward a more responsive, team-empowered model that balances operational stability with strategic innovation — transforming how teams deliver value in a rapidly changing business landscape.
